#4: Quantity over Quality

In the past, I would often halt my creative exploration after coming up with two or three solutions to a brief. I would refine them and convince myself they were masterpieces.

However, these ideas would soon be criticised by my manager for being superficial.

Now, I make it a point to generate as many rough ideas and directions as possible. Even after I believe I've come up with a fantastic idea, I continue exploring because there could always be something better.

The concepts generated from a broader exploration form the connection points. Much like a game of dot-to-dot, the collective ideas create something much greater.

Unique ideas stem from connecting these multiple points to form a brilliant picture.

In the realm of idea generation, quantity often leads to quality.
