#8: Stop ignoring creative fatigue

Sometimes I feel guilty about taking a break from my work, especially when I have a challenging brief with a tight deadline.

I tend to stubbornly keep working until I figure it out. While this occasionally works, it's not always the best use of my time or energy.

I've discovered that taking a good break or even leaving the work until the next day can be really helpful. It lets me come back with fresh eyes and a clear mind.

Most of the time, when I revisit it, I find the solution in minutes, compared to the hours it would take if I kept pushing through.

Creative work is a lot like exercise. There's only so much I can do before I hit a wall. When that happens, I take a rest and come back refreshed and ready to tackle it again.
